A new school must form its own traditions, develop its own philosophy, institute student organizations, and must do so with hard work and devotion since future students will follow the example of the original student body and build upon their foundation. This has been our task in the year 1961-62. We feel that the groundwork which we have laid for future classes is a solid one, for into it have been incorporated many different concepts of people from varied backgrounds. It is essential that this framework be strong because of the very nature of this institution. Being a service school, students cannot remain long enough to become an actual part of its traditions; therefore, the traditions must be contained within the school and must have been firmly established. We have attempted to do just this and it is our hope that we, the first student body of Kindley High School, have been successful in our undertaking.
